I had a flower fairy party for my daughter's 3rd Birthday. It was fun to plan.
Flower cupcakes - the cupcakes were made in cupcake flower liners and were topped with flower rings and fairy toppers. The wooden sticks were purchase at Smart and Final.
Ladybugs - Apple ladybugs were made with a half of an apple, slice in half with a cherry head and dabbed with chocolate spots.
Fairy Sweets - The sweets table also included chocolate covered strawberries (there is a strawberry fairy), chocolate covered flower oreos (purchased a flower mold from Micheals), m&m's and lollipops. Flower fairy books were also on the table which the theme of the party was based on.
Fairy Dust - Cotton candy was made during the party. The cotton candy maker was a big hit. I purchased the maker at Bed, Bath and Beyond and the flavored sugar was from Sur La Table.
Flower laterns - I made felt flowers for each color that the girls were wearing and hung the fairy tree. I also had paper lanterns that I had already had and hung them up.
My favorite part of the day was the fairy dance. My older daughter made up a dance for the little ones. They danced to "Fly to your Heart" and "Gift of a Friend" from the Tinkerbell soundtrack. They also danced to Celtic music. The dance was so adorable and they circled around the birthday girl at the end. They danced under the tree outside and it could not have been more perfect!
The girls loved painting fairy houses. Here are a few examples. I purchased the houses at JoAnnes Fabric store.
The table was decorated with the theme as well. Moss centerpiece with flower fairies, felt butterfly placemats, glasses filled with pink fairy lemondade. The glasses are recycled starbucks frap. glasses that I just peeled the label off of and washed.
